In late 2019, reach52 partnered with Gilead Sciences and the Philippines Department of Health to launch comprehensive hepatitis B (HBV) services for rural populations in the Philippines.

reach52 has now expanded its affordable insurance services into Cambodia, following on from our successful launch in the Philippines at the end of 2019. Previously uninsured and unbanked individuals in Siem Reap province are now able to order these insurance plans through the reach52 marketplace service, which also delivers affordable medicines and consumer health products.

reach52 was a finalist at the Health Innovation Marketplace, part of the Health Innovation Exchange Annual Event 2020, hosted virtually by UNAIDS and partners. We were recognised for our innovation in digital health, and impact in delivering accessible, affordable healthcare for rural markets across South and South East Asia.

This week, reach52 is launching its COVID-19 Information and Symptom Checker in Senegal and Kenya to support rural communities during the global pandemic. Residents in these remote communities can use the reach52 chatbot service via Facebook Messenger to get the facts vs myths on COVID-19 to overcome misinformation, check their COVID-19 symptoms and get advice based on WHO guidelines.
