Now in its third year, the Accenture HealthTech Innovation Challenge brings startups, life sciences companies and healthcare organizations together to tackle the world’s biggest health issues.
Accenture said “The HealthTech Innovation Challenge is part of Accenture’s broader HealthTech Innovation programme which will also include acceleration and venture opportunities, innovation labs, and more. Through it we support technologies and drive creative solutions to improve the way people access and manage healthcare.”
Allied World Healthcare (AWH) was selected to take part in the Asia Finals, hosted in Tokyo. Presenting and demoing against 10 other start-ups, AWH triumphed and won the Asia round of the competition, receiving praise from across the judging panel for the technological innovation as well as focussed social impact goals.
AWH will now pitch at the global competition in San Francisco, USA at one of the leading healthcare conferences globally.

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) continue to be the leading cause of death globally, with four out of five people with an NCD living in LMICs. However, there is limited availability of affordable diagnostics for NCDs at the primary care level in many rural populations, making it one of the weakest links in the cascade of care. New innovations are needed to reach these populations with the accessible diagnostics services they need.
