Resident Insights on Screening and Diagnostics for NCDs in rural Philippines and Cambodia (Part 2)

Complementing on research on diagnostic tests required in rural Indonesia, Kenya and Philippines (Part 1), we also did a study to find out resident insights on direct-to-home screening and diagnostics for NCDs in rural Philippines and Cambodia (Part 2).

The following are our findings on how rural residents typically feel, think and act when considering to get screened or diagnosed for diabetes and/or hypertension. Perceived lack of resources in local public health facilities, financial constraints and lack of knowledge on NCDs are the main causes of their hesitancy to get screened.
